Gold! - posted by Dr.Haggard @ 22:37 | |
| After waiting for so long to post this news you'd think I'd have come up with a better headline than that! :) Juan has posted the following on the Rebel Act forums: Codemasters has approved the american gold master of Blade of Darkness. It will go now into production!! Now we are doing, from that master, the spanish, english, german, french and italian versions of Severance: Blade of Darkness. It wont take too long! Go straight to the thread here, pinch yourself, and then start celebrating!.

Very good news! Only still fucked up that the game won't be released sooner... But, pray tell, what is the exactly meaning of that it's GOLD? Does it mean that it will be a big succes or something? Or that it's finally totally finished?? |

It means the code is 100% finished and ready for duplication...there's no way back now :) |

The expression comes from the fact that the developers send a gold master CD to the publishers for verification, and once it's been passed it goes into production from that master disc.
It may not always be a gold CD, but traditionally it is (if you can talk about tradition in such a young industry, hehe). |
