Severance pushed back? - posted by Warlock @ 13:58 | |
| I just noticed this newsflash over at EuroGamer: The big news for Colin McRae fans is that CM Rally 2.0 will be released on the 1st of December in time for the Christmas rush alongside World Championship SNooker. Operation Flashpoint is also nearing release, although unfortunately it won't be with us until April, although Severence : Blade of Darkness should hit sometime in February. In console news, Prince Naseem Boxing on the PlayStation will be available on November 3rd. If this is true, it's indeed some very frustrating news for all of us, who have continiously seen the release date get pushed back. |

Even more irritating is that it still sais "Coming Nov2000" on the Codemasters Severance site.
I hope someone can confirm if this is actually true or not! |

There are two things possible:
1. They are confused because now is it CM Rally 2.0 that will be released at decembre the 1st! Excectly the same release date that used to be the one of Severance. So maybe they meant Severance with that one.
2. Or it's the totally other way around; A time ago they meant CM Rally with the December the 1st release date and not Severance... if that is so... I will cry out loud...... |

They notice the dates could change..
All i hope is the release date of the demo wont be pushed back..
They re playing with our nerves at codemasters...
They must not be entirely satisfied of of the actuel state of the game.. |

You're right, yanos! If they don't release the demo the last week of this month than I'm really getting pissed off... they better don't do that! That would be a VÉRY wrong joke...... |

Colin McRae has been due December 1st for a while now, so there's no confusion there I'm afraid. Also, FGN cut'n'pasted from the same release schedule we were sent by the looks of things.
On the bright side, this does give Rebel Act a couple more months to polish up the game and fix the remaining bugs - the build that we played at the recent Codemasters press event in London was a little unstable, as well as having an amusing bug that put me in control of a level 47 amazon on starting the game, though there's no telling how recent that version was of course...

Thanks for clearing it up John.
I was hoping that there was a mistake regarding the European and US version and that it was in fact the US version that was due out February next year - but I guess not :-(
I sure hope that the reason is anything but financial or a matter of priority from Codemasters side. As far as I know, the Spanish version, distributed by Friendware, is still aimed for a December release...
Well, I hope that the demo at least will be released as promised! |

Yeah it better is! Or they maybe loose some 'new-fans'! I'm not a new fan anymore so I can live with it... but I'm standing on an edge to be honest...
I think I will just look forward for Giants and Rune... for Severance too ofcaurse but... I will hear it when he's almost released, maybe we can play Severance at June 18!! :(
And the amerikan guys in 2002 if it keeps going this way... |
