| UK magazine PC ZONE have printed a brief news article about Severance in their November issue announcing the new publishing deal with Codemasters. Heres a snippet:
"Luckily, those of us still wondering whatever happened to the atmospheric flickering torches and severed heads of Blade can sleep easy as Codemasters has announced it's picked up the game and is ready to release it to an over-18 world this November.""...(Severance) still contains one of the most advanced lighting engines we've ever seen - flames dance and flicker on torches, creating real-time moving shadows - as well as plenty of über-violence to keep the kids happy." "Codemasters promises to take a responsible aproach to the game, working closely with ELSPA and the BBFC to ensure they don't overstep the boundaries of acceptability. The game will carry prominent warnings of its violent nature, as well as the popular '18' rating label on the box cover." |

Me too, hehe. Gives me a warm feeling inside to see a game with that little red circle.
Not that I'm so shallow that I drool at the thought of over indulgent and needless graphic violence in a game :o)
Actually, I'm not - I take great offence at things like Soldier of Fortune, but not Blade. And I don't think that's hypocritical. |
